From a young age Paula has always been interested in Art. Her earliest memory of art was when her Mum caught her drawing on the closet’s walls. She attended Tri-Country Technical Regional High School. Attended Vesper George School of Art, Paula started working in stained glass back in the early 80’s
In the mid 80’s she was asked to relocate to Australia for four months to open up several restaurants in Melbourne. She stayed a year and during that year she designed a large stained glass window for her employer’s; The Pavilion Group, Inc. After a year she needed to become a resident or come home. She came home to pursue a career in business, but continued to work on her art.
Her position of Package Designer a liaison for Microsoft ® and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) took her all over the country. This allowed Paula to collect different influences and ideas from various parts of the country.
In 2001 she decided to focus on her art and teaching and creating one of-a-kind pieces for residential and commercial clients. Her love of flowers, nature, and the sea greatly influence her work.
2002 Paula and 4 other partners opened a Gallery and Gift Shop. Five Crows Gallery and Handcrafted Gifts. Located Main Street, Natick Center, MA 01760 www.fivecrows.com She has since retired, the store is still doing great.
Paula has added lampworking glass to her creative passion. She has been designing large hollow beads that create fun and funky necklaces.
On her radar she is now very interested in working furnace into her fusing.
A few years ago, Paula started working in Pastels. She found working in this medium is so different than glass it became a new love.
